MENAarts Newsletter was inspired by one question: why don't I see ME on TV?

We believe art goes hand-in-hand with identity: it provides a unique platform to increase empathy for and bring awareness to communities that have long been underrepresented and misrepresented in the media, like the Middle Eastern North African (MENA) community.   

From film to literature, our e-newsletter is committed to positive MENA representation in the arts and entertainment. Here, youth from across the globe unite to rewrite the #MENArrative by creating and amplifying content about the community that is authentic and impactful. (Bye-bye, stereotypes!). With diverse perspectives, visceral conversations, and witty reviews you won't find elsewhere, we hope to give some of the most influential and awe-inspiring MENA creatives the attention they deserve.
